France floods: Three rescuers die as helicopter crashes near Marseille

Three rescue labourers set for help individuals trapped in floods in southern France were slaughtered when their helicopter slammed close to Marseille.
The EC145 airship had been on a salvage and observation trip in the Var area on Sunday night when contact with it was lost, authorities said.
The slammed helicopter and the three groups were found close to the town of Rove. An examination is in progress.
Substantial downpour in south-east France has prompted extreme flooding and a few passings.
In an announcement, Interior Minister Christophe Castaner and his representative, Laurent Nuñez, portrayed the three unfortunate casualties as "regular legends who gave their lives to secure the French".
The accident site in slopes north of Marseille has been closed as police and specialists brushed the scene, French media announced.
Sources near the examination said poor permeability brought about by mist could have been a factor.
In any event, six individuals have kicked the bucket in floods in south-eastern France as of late.
On Sunday, a shepherd in the Var area was cleared away as he attempted to cross a swollen stream in his vehicle while watching out for his rush. His body was later found in the 4x4 further downstream.
Likewise, on Sunday, the proprietor of stables was discovered dead in a similar locale after he was additionally cleared away, authorities said.
