Coronavirus: India under lockdown for next 21 days

Prime Minister added that from 12 am onwards tonight (IST), the nation will be under lockdown for the next 21 days. This lockdown will be stricter than the public curfew which was imposed on Sunday.
"This decision of nationwide lockdown is to save the people and their families in India, from recent experiences of other countries, it is crucial that we go under lockdown," added Indian PM Modi.
Prime Minister urged the people to stay inside their homes and break the chain of Coronavirus.
Furthermore, PM Modi stated that in certain cases, it takes several days to develop the symptoms of Coronavirus in some people, by this, the infected individual unknowingly comes in contact with several other individuals which makes it a chain.
PM stated that it took 67 days for Coronavirus to reach to 100,000 people, but after that in mere eleven days, the virus had infected more than two hundred thousand people which reveals the severity of the situation
"Whether it is Italy or America, their health care system is the finest in the entire world, however, these nations are on their knees and fighting to lower the effect of Coronavirus."
PM Modi stated the only way of hope to save the people from Coronavirus is 'social distancing'. He added that this curfew is not only for ordinary citizens but for himself as well.
Indian Prime Minister also added that administrations are taking mandatory steps to make supplies available to the people.
Furthermore, he added that the Indian government is working tirelessly to improve the health structure to handle the virus in the country and funds are released to facilitate hospitals with testing kits, isolation beds and ventilators.
Currently, India has 519 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and four deaths.
