American Airlines to expand in the Caribbean, new flights to start from October
The world's largest airline is planning another major expansion to the Caribbean, with new flights starting from October this year.

On the same date, American airlines will also operate three times a week in Cancun, Mexico. Both of these routes will operate four times a week, and service will begin on November 2nd.
The announcement is a major sign, not only of the growth of Austin as a tourist resource market in the Caribbean but also of the growing popularity of travel in the Caribbean amid the pandemic.
"Earlier this year, we added more flights from Austin, and customers were talking: they want more," said Brian Znotins, U.S. vice president of network planning. 'We are fascinated to give our consumers even more possibilities to reconnect with family, friends and co-workers. Working with our partners makes it easier than ever to connect Austin to the world. The Caribbean and Latin America are experiencing a worse economic crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic because the region relies on the tourism sector for economic stability. After relaxation in the travel restriction, the countries in the Caribbean are slowly reviving from the financial difficulties.
The region had always been the first choice of vacation for Americans looking for a fruitful natural and peaceful holiday away from their homeland.
