Westjet airlines resumes services to St Lucia after 20 months
The Westjet airlines on Sunday resumed its services from Toronto to St Lucia after a pause of 20 months.
Castries, St Lucia: The Westjet airlines on Sunday resumed its services from Toronto to St Lucia after a pause of 20 months. The St Lucia Tourism Authority welcomed the airline staff upon their arrival on the island. As per the Tourism Authority, the airline will operate flights to St Lucia every Sunday till January 2022. The number of flights is promised to increase to two beginning February 17, 2022, every Thursday and Sunday.
St Lucia's Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information Ernest Hilaire also presented a token of appreciation to the pilot. The flights were closed after the COVID-19 caused chaos worldwide, as countries closed down their borders. St Lucia is slowly returning to tourism, as American Airlines operate daily flights from Miami, Jet Blue from New York, and Delta from Atlanta.Other flight schedules to St LuciaAmerican Airlines
