Castries, St Lucia: Prime Minister of St Lucia Allen Chastanet stated on Thursday that his United Workers Party (UWP) has been consistent in solving the difficulties faced by people in some areas.  Shredding a light on the accomplishments of the five years of the UWP government, Prime Minister Allen Chastanet stated that back in 2016, the residents of Blanchard had to deal with an inconsistent and unreliable water supply. He said his government took the issues seriously and have since addressed their water issues. Prime Minister stated that the main community road consistent was in a deplorable condition. Comparing the situation of 2016 with the current scenario, he said that driving through the community of Blanchard is one of the most comfortable that a person can experience. Furthermore, Allen Chastanet stated that the Blanchard Community Centre had been abandoned, limiting its ability to host community functions and meetings.  "As I prepare this post, work on the rehabilitation and expansion of the Blanchard Community Centre continues to progress," stated PM Chastanet.  He stated that in the five years, United Workers Party implemented numerous community projects in the areas of flood mitigation, community access improvements via the construction of footpaths and concrete roads, as well as disaster vulnerability reduction initiatives through the construction of retaining walls. PM said that his government have delivered on your main requests but rest assured we have a lot more in store for you.
