Minister responsible for Gender Affairs, Eugene Hamilton, indicated on the March 15 episode of Leadership Matters that the policy had undergone a full ministerial assessment.
"The Cabinet has given its approval to the policy. The next step will be to bring it up for discussion in Parliament the next time we convene," Minister Hamilton remarked. He went on to say that the "important document" is crucial because it promotes the principle of equality for everybody.
The National Gender Equality Policy and Action Plan 2022-2027, according to Honourable Hamilton, would most likely be made public in order to create awareness of the new Federal initiative.
"I believe that all women, all families, should strive to obtain a copy of it (the policy) and understand how they may improve their lives based on the proposals and recommendations that have been made," the Minister stated.Besides this, Natalie John, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Dreamy Group of Companies, called on all business organizations to adopt an approach similar to the UK government in the Hampton-Alexander Review.
Explaining the report, John stated that it calls on supplementing female presence in leading corporations in the UK as well as boosting the number of females in senior executive roles.
She also encouraged women to start their own businesses and promote entrepreneurship. Natalie John also said that with increased representation of women, the overall market could be improved.
