A massive quest is ongoing for a 27-year-old university student who went missing on Saturday morning in the gated enclave of Orchard in Hopewell, Hanover, Jamaica. As per reports, Challene Evans, a University of the West Indies student from the Clifton neighbourhood of Hanover, went missing on  Christmas Day, shortly after 7:00 a.m. When the young woman left her residence, she was supposedly visiting her child's father in Orchard. According to reports, the young woman last spoke with her father on the phone, requesting him to rescue her. She allegedly told her father she was stuck in a river with no water. Challene Evans' father told police that nothing out of the ordinary happened. He said his daughter had an argument with her mother before leaving the house.  On the other hand, the father also claimed that his daughter told him over the phone that she was not "loved". According to reports, the police also participated in the investigation, which garnered little assistance from the Orchard neighbourhood.  The search halted on Saturday night and restarted Sunday with the help of families and community members. Sharon Beeput, Superintendent of Police in Charge of the Hanover Police Division,  stated that K-9 sniffer dogs would be employed in the hunt for Challene Evans on Monday.
