A newborn baby boy was discovered abandoned in the trash bin of a plane's toilet in Mauritius by airport employees. A 20-year-old lady from Madagascar was arrested on suspicion of giving birth during the trip. On January 1, the Air Mauritius plane arrived from Madagascar and landed at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. When airport police screened the jet for a usual customs check, they discovered the problem. The finding was revealed by airport officials at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport during a regular customs examination of the Air Mauritius plane after it arrived in Port Louis from Madagascar. The baby was brought to a public hospital for treatment. The woman suspected of being the child's mother was forced to undergo a medical check, which revealed she had just given birth.
