Fatal road accident probed by Dominica police
Man, 48, succumbed to injuries

Police in Dominica are investigating after a man died in a collision on the Edward Oliver LeBlanc Highway at Canefield.
The victim has been named as Kurt Matthew. He was 48 and from Madrelle, Loubiere.
He sustained multiple injuries – which police have not specified – and died after being taken to Princess Margaret Hospital.
The accident happened at around 9.50pm on Sunday, 26 November, according to police sources.
Matthew was parked on the western side of the highway when a driver who was travelling northwards, named as Andy Esprit, lost control and hit the stationery vehicle as the victim got in.
“A corners inquest will be convened,” said Pelham Jno Baptiste, spokesman for the police.
“Investigation are ongoing. The Commonwealth of Dom Police Force extends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased."
WIC News understands that the victim was a respected radio engineer who worked at state-owned DBS radio.Latest
