Amid the farmers' protests, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again mentioned the issue and took on the opposition.
Modi, who went to inaugurate many projects in Kutch, Gujarat, said that farmers are his government's top priority.
He said that some people are doing politics with the farmers regarding agricultural laws. These people do not want to let the farmers grow.
'Farmers are Scare Mongered'
The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a message to the farmers that the agricultural laws are in their favour. He said that for many years there was a demand for agricultural reforms.
Modi further said, "A conspiracy is going on around Delhi to confuse the farmers. They are being scared about new agricultural reforms that their lands would be taken away."
Furthermore, he added with an example, "I want to tell you that if a dairyman contracts to take milk from you, does he take your cow or buffalo? The contribution of the dairy industry in our country is about 8 lakh crores. In this system, cattle rearers have got freedom. Today the country is asking why such small and marginal farmers should not get such freedom. ”
Indian Prime Minister claimed that earlier the opposition was favouring the reforms, while he blamed them for confusing farming organizations and added that these reforms had been long-awaited.
He mentioned that the opposition intended to propose these bills while they were in government and could not come to a conclusion.
The Indian Prime Minister said, "I am repeating again and again that the government is deployed 24 hours for every problem of the farmer brothers. The whole country blessed our government. These forces of the blessings of the farmers will remain confusing, and those who do politics will be defeated."
