NEMO relief from St Lucia to Dominica to end this month
Help was ongoing since Hurricane Maria
The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in St Lucia has announced the date for its final relief shipment to Dominica.
The body, which is responsible for disaster response coordination as well as disaster preparedness, has been helping with the immediate relief efforts following the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria, which brought the full force of its category five winds to Dominica on 18 September.
The last shipment will leave St Lucia on 18 December.
NEMO has been working in partnership with Geest Shipping Lines and M&C Shipping to facilitate the transport of goods.
"All items should be received at the NEMO office, Bisee, by midday on Friday, December 15," said a statement from Nemo.
"All packages should be clearly labelled with the receiver’s name, address and telephone number."
