Boston College students pleads guilty of killing boyfriend
In connection with her boyfriend's suicide two years ago, a former Boston College student has pled guilty to attempted murder. Inyoung You, 23, was sentenced to a two-and-a-half-year suspended sentence and told she would not be permitted to profit from the scandal that engulfed the country.

Alexander Urtula, 22, committed suicide by jumping from a garage hours before his graduation on May 20, 2019.  Prosecutors claim. You were abusive to Mr Urtula, encouraging him to commit suicide.

On Thursday, you were sentenced in Suffolk County Superior Court in Boston, Massachusetts.

Her prison sentence has been suspended for ten years, meaning she will not be imprisoned if she follows the terms of her probation. They include 300 hours of community service and required mental-health therapy.

"I shall not profit directly or indirectly from any media presentation, discussion, or diffusion of the facts of this case," said Judge Robert Ullmann.

According to the Boston Herald website, you declined to provide a statement, with her lawyer stating that she was "extremely disturbed."

During an inquiry, Suffolk District Attorney Rachael Rollins stated in October 2019 that she "was physically, verbally, and psychologically abusive against Mr Urtula during their 18-month stormy relationship."

"In the days and hours leading up to Mr Urtula's death, the abuse became more frequent, more intense, and more degrading," the attorney added.

She claimed that in the two months leading up to Mr Urtula's murder, the couple exchanged more than 75,000 text conversations.

According to the council, you pushed Mr Urtula to "go kill himself" and "go die" in her posts.

You "was tracking Mr Urtula's movements and proceeded to the Renaissance carpark" on May 20, she claimed, where he killed himself.
