Massive cannabis haul for Antigua and Barbuda police
Discovery made in Ras Freeman area of Liberta

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda have seized over 30,000 cannabis plants in Liberta.
A police operation in the ‘Ras Freeman’ area on Wednesday led to the haul.
Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, Narcotics and K9 Unit – along with those attached to Liberta, All Saints and Dockyard police stations – were all involved in the discovery.
They were in the area investigation a murder when they stumbled across the plants.
A total of 30,938 cannabis plants were uprooted and seized, along with 67.75lbs (30.7kg) of the “cured substance”, which was found in two separate areas.
They were taken to the police headquarters pending further investigations.
No one has been arrested in relation to the discovery as yet.
