Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley shared new updates in the health sector of the Island. He recently posted on his Facebook account and announced major acquirements at the Alexandra Hospital.
The Concerned Citizens' Movement led Nevis Island Administration (NIA) to continue to work to uplift the health sector on the Island.
Brantley stated the Island now has over nine ventilators, and recently a new portable digital ultrasound machine was installed at the Alexandra Hospital.
He said additional hospital beds are also installed at the major Alexandra Hospital, while two brand new ambulances just joined the fleet to take the health infrastructure to new heights. To help combat the COVID-19 pandemic, two PCR testing machines are also provided at the Alexandra Hospital.
The other additions include the following:
- Portable Digital Ultrasound Machine
- Ventilators (Nevis now have 9)
- Chemistry Analyzer
- Haematology Analyzer
- Baby Warmer
- 3 Vital Signs Monitor
- Hospital beds
- Two brand new Ambulances
- 2 PCR testing machines
