Long queues as St Kitts and Nevis go into general elections
40360 voters to cast a ballot in St Kitts and Nevis general elections.

St Kitts and Nevis is observing general elections today, a large number of people are stepping out to cast their ballot to choose their parliamentary representatives. The polls are being held in eleven constituencies of the twin-island nation.
Over 40360 people are casting their vote in the country out of which 35860 are in St Kitts and remaining 12176 in Nevis.
People are strictly following the health protocols by the electoral office in the election process that started at 7 am and will last till 6 pm.
There are 129 polling station created in various constituencies to facilitate voters. In these general elections, twenty-three candidates, including one independent candidate, is testing their political fate in the country.
There are over three different polling stations created at the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium in Bird Rock, constituency number one.
