Mibra Trading and Security Company donate IT supplies to Guyana Police Force
The Guyana Police Force's newly established Community Relations Department is set to benefit from 25 printers and five (5) computers, which were officially handed over to the GPF today by a member of the Corporate Sector, Mike Brasse, during a simple ceremony held in the Commissioner's Conference Room at Force Headquarters, Eve Leary, Georgetown.

The new systems received (25 Canon Wireless Colour Printers with legal size Scan, Copy, Print and Email functions; and five HP Laptop computers) are expected to assist in the service delivery of the GPF's Community Relations Department, which is headed by W/Supt Crystal Robinson.

Brasse made the formal donation on behalf of his two sons, Tyrone and James Brasse, the proprietors of Mibra Trading Company Limited, and Mibra Security Solutions Inc, respectively. Both businesses are located in the Brassonic Building, 42 Water Street, Robbstown, Georgetown.

Speaking on behalf of the donors, Gencher Taylor, who accompanied Brasse, said that "both of the donors (Tyrone and James Brasse) would like to express their support to the Guyana Police Force, for the good work that they are doing and continues to do under the command of recently appointed Commissioner of Police (ag.) Clifton Hicken."

Acting Commissioner of Police Mr Clifton Hicken, in brief remarks, lauded Brasse (and his sons) for their timely donation, which will greatly assist the Force's Community Relations Department and which will be used to benefit communities across Guyana.

Hicken said he is elated to know that the business community is working hand-in-hand with the Police.

The Top Cop said it's very laudable when the Corporate Sector and organisations can give back, and while this is a donation to the Police Force, the computers and printers will be used for work that will benefit the public and the citizens.

Also delivering appreciative remarks on behalf of the GPF was Woman Superintendent Crystal Robinson, Head of the Community Relations Department, who thanked the donors for their generous contribution to the Guyana Police Force.

Also present at the handing over ceremony were Deputy Commissioner' Operations' (ag.) Ravindradat Budhram- Head of the Strategic Planning Unit- Nicola Kendall and Head of the Force's Corporate Communications Unit Mark Ramotar, as well as representatives from the donor company.
