Jamaican PM Holness inaugurates Olympic Gardens Police Station
Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness inaugurated the new Olympic Gardens Police Station in his Constituency of West Central St. Andrew.

Prime Minister Holness notified that this modern, fit-for-purpose structure has been designed to be much more welcoming and friendly to the Olympic Gardens community and surrounding communities.
He said, "this facility includes a criminal investigations branch office, traffic unit, cell block, kitchen, dining, bathroom facilities, and a homework/internet cafe for community members, among other amenities."

"The new Olympic Gardens Police Station symbolizes our commitment to improving the capacity and capability of the country’s security architecture." He added.
Notably, Jamaica is considered as one of the unsafe nation of the Caribbean & police role in the crime always seems to be suspicious.
Prime Minister commitment for the crime-free Jamaica can be full fill with such steps if police administration could get a good level of facilities to combat against the criminals.

In 2020, there were nearly 46.5 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants in the island nation, the highest homicide rate in Latin America & the Caribbean that year.
