Dental surgeon found dead last week, died by suicide confirms Guyana police
The police finally resolved the case after a dental surgeon was found dead on March 1 2022, in Lot 424 Kuru Kuru Soesdyke Linden Highway. The investigations carried out by the Guyana Police revealed that she died by suicide.

The deceased Dhanwanti Ramsarup's husband was arrested after she was found dead. On Monday, he was released after his legal advisor instructed that her death be treated as a suicide.

When asked about the injuries that were seen on the woman's body, the source said they were caused due to her falling forward after she allegedly took her own life.

According to an initial report, Ramsarup's 30-year-old husband, Harry Renelso Daniels, a dentist, had said that on several occasions, Ramsarup had threatened to commit suicide since she was allegedly suffering from depression and domestic-related issues.

He stated that on Monday, February 28, 2022, he and Ramsarup had a misunderstanding, and, as a result, Ramsarup allegedly set fire on several of her clothes.

When this occurred, he claimed that he was at work, and Ramsarup reportedly called him and threatened to kill herself.

However, on March 1, Daniels said that he was at his parents' home when Ramsarup called his cellphone and told him she would kill herself. He said that he immediately left in the company of his 57-year-old father, Wayne Daniels, for his residence.

When he arrived at his home, he saw the house in total darkness, and he and his father went to the back of the house, where they saw Ramsarup's motionless body lying face down, with a wire around her neck, measuring about seven feet in length, which was still attached to the building.

After making the discovery, he contacted the police. When cops arrived at the scene, her body was checked, and what appeared to be blood was seen in her nostrils.

Her left fist had some injuries to the back, and small lacerations were seen on her forehead, while a small amount of blood was seen on the ground about two feet away from where her body was found.

Ramsaroop was then picked up and taken to a city hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor.

However, several CCTV cameras were seen on the building. When cops asked for the password, Daniels told the police that he did not know the password. The DVR was extracted from the system by the police to be analyzed, and Daniels was arrested and taken into police custody for questioning.

Subsequently, an autopsy revealed that Ramsarup died as a result of asphyxiation due to compression injuries to the neck.

A senior police source told this publication that Ramsarup died from "Compression injury to the neck which can be caused by hanging or strangulation."
