According to the prosecutor, prior to September 27th 2021, the defendant and the victim had a misunderstanding over a young man that the defendant is dating, where the defendant accused her best friend of having a relationship with the said male.
However, on the day in question, Cosbert went to Fraser’s home where she dealt her several lashes with a rolling pin about her body, including her head, as such she suffered two lacerations to the forehead, each measuring 3.4 CM and a soft tissue injury to the right shoulder.A report was then made at the Police Station; the defendant was arrested and placed before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, where she answered the said charge.
Prosecutor Headley did not object to bail but requested that the duo be placed on bond to keep the peace pending the determination of the matter.
In light of that, the Magistrate placed the defendant on a bond to keep the peace where she is not allowed to go within 50-feets of the victim. Further to that, she was ordered to report every other Friday at the East La Penitence police station. The matter was transferred to court #6 and will be heard again on January 10th, 2022.
