After a seven year hiatus the BTC World Relays Bahamas 24 will return to The Bahamas on May 4th and 5th at the Thomas A. Robison Stadium. The country hosted the first three World Athletics Relays in 2014, 2015 and 2017. The event will not only showcase the world's best athletes but also the best of Bahamian culture. The two-day event is guaranteed to be adrenaline-filled as it is the final relay qualifying event before the Paris Summer Olympics. Golden Girl and Olympic medallist Pauline Davis expressed her excitement on Thursday morning ahead of the big return. She encouraged residents to attend the much-anticipated international track meet. While encouraging the residents, Davis said, "We have that indomitable spirit, and we just naturally love people. And so when they come to our shows, we always make sure to show them a lot of love and that they truly have themselves a great time." She added that the international athletes will arrive in the country and will love the people here and noted, "They love our friendliness, our warmth, and they always want to come here. So I'm expecting that when they line up next weekend, the world going to see are going to be able to see something else." It is to be noted that this unmissable event will be held at the 15000-seat Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium in Nassau and for the first time ever, the stadium will offer fan zone seats which will be close to the action on the infield. This zone will offer patrons with an unparalleled and close views of the athletes. As the World Athletics Relays come closer, the organisers are urging the fans to purchase their tickets at the earliest and get a chance to be a part of the most thrilling events.
