Investment agents were recently given a tour of the project and were able to get a first-hand impression of the enticing atmosphere that will become.

The St. Kitts Ramada Hotel was approved in July 2014 by the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Government of Prime Minister Douglas.

At a Cabinet Briefing, the Labour Government said the construction of the Ramada St Kitts was consistent with the vision for the development in the White Gate area when the application was approved for the development of the condo resort and residence project at Helden’s Estate located in St. Paul’s Parish.

“The project will provide hundreds of employment opportunities for tradesmen and other local people in the design and construction phase, and will provide many long-term employment opportunities in its operational phase,” said Dr. Douglas, who is also the Parliamentary Representative.

Dr. Douglas said in 2014, that he was pleased to see St. Kitts and Nevis attract more and more high-end development projects leading to sustainable employment and business opportunities for many local people and businesses.

He said that he envisaged many persons who have been trained under the PEP programme finding long-term employment at Kittitian Hill. Park Hyatt St Kitts, the St Kitts Ramada and other tourism-related developments.

At the soft opening of the nearby Kittitian Hill, Prime Minister Douglas said his St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Government remains committed to expand the island’s development focus beyond the Basseterre Valley and the South East Peninsula, and the new St Kitts Ramada project like the Kittitian Hill – underscores that commitment.

The ground breaking ceremony was held on September 16, 2014 and construction began early in 2015.
