Police seeking information after fatal Antigua and Barbuda shooting

One dead and two injured in attack

Police in Antigua and Barbuda are appealing for information after a shooting last Thursday killed one and injured two.

Businessman Campbell Jackson, 66, died outside his home in Hill Crest Road, Green Bay, when a gunman appeared at around 10.30pm and opened fire.

Jackson had been sitting at the front of his house with his son Jari Jackson and a friend, Tevin George, when the incident happened.

According to Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, all three ran for cover but Campbell Jackson was shot in the back, killing him instantly.

George suffered a gunshot wound to his right shoulder and Jari Jackson a similar injury to his right leg.

The pair were were taken to Mount St John’s Medical Centre and their conditions remain in stable.

The police have recovered several spent ammunition shells from the scene, and are conducting further investigations into the matter.

WIC News understands that nobody is in custody relating to this incident. The Antigua Observer is quoting police sources as saying the perpetrator was “slimly built and wearing a white vest”.
