St Kitts and Nevis: The Nevis to St Kitts Cross Channel Swim, one of the Caribbean's premier open-water swimming events, is all set to make a comeback on April 6, 2024. This highly anticipated annual event promises to be an unforgettable experience for the swimmers.
During the swim, participants have to cross 'Narrows', a strait which separates St Kitts from Nevis and the Caribbean Sea from the Atlantic Ocean. This is why it is recognised as a unique ocean swim. The event is a 2.5 mile/4 km open water swim crossing, and the entry fee for international swimmers is US$200.
Notably, 2024 marks the 23rd anniversary of the event, and the organisers look forward to welcoming the participants to the Caribbean shores and to the two beautiful islands that are St Kitts & Nevis.
According to the information, the event will begin from Oualie Beach in North West Nevis and will head across the Narrows to finish South of St Kitts at Cockleshell Bay.
The Ministry of Tourism of Nevis invited all interested individuals to register for the swim at the earliest through this LINK. Registration will close at 23:59 on Sunday 31st March 2024 GMT.
While inviting everyone, the Ministry said, "Are you ready to test your limits? Conquer the Caribbean waves at the epic Nevis to St Kitts Cross Channel Swim on April 6, 2024. The countdown is on!"

The event also pushes participants to their limits as they conquer the open waters of the Caribbean. This event is not just a race, It's a test of endurance and determination. "Don't miss out on the chance to be part of this incredible journey and make a splash in the Caribbean," further said the Tourism Ministry. Notably, last year, SwimTrek was delighted to announce its new ownership of the Cross Channel Swim event in partnership with Sponge Marketing and Events Ltd. It said that together they will be jointly taking over this extraordinary island-to-island crossing from Winston Crooke, who founded and nurtured the event for the past two decades. The event is truly a once-in-a-lifetime event, included in the World Open Water Swimming Association's Top 100 Most Iconic Swims.Latest
