PM Skerrit meets Tourism Minister of Saudi Arabia to strengthen diplomatic relations

Both the dignitaries discussed various concerns about enhancing the cooperation between Dominica and Saudi Arabia.
The countries have signed various agreements to boost the tourism sector of both the countries.
As per the reports, both the leaders highlighted the significance of tourism sector for the economy of a country. Both leaders further promised to strengthen the industry by inviting various programmes between the countries.
While emphasizing the meeting for the bilateral relations between the two countries, PM Skerrit expressed Dominica's admiration for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and gave his commitment to deepening ties between both countries.
PM Skerrit also asserted that they have also signed various agreements and contracts which could facilitate the countries to boost the diplomatic relations with each other.

Earlier on October 20, 2021, Prime Minister Skerrit visited the United Arab Emirates and considered it a pretty successful trip.
PM Skerrit visited UAE to get feedback on the country's performance in EXPO 2020 Dubai.
Commonwealth of Dominica and the Middle East nation have a long-withstanding relationship. In January 2020, Dominica situated its first mission to the Middle East by opening an embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Moreover, in February 2020, the visa-waiver agreement was also signed between the two countries after establishing the consulate.
The agreement stated that any UAE citizens could visit Dominica without the requirement of a prior visa and vice versa.
The Embassy of Dominica to the UAE is committed to two primary missions: representing Government in its outreach to the host nation and facilitating consular and other similar services to citizens within its area of support.Latest
