St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew conducted a walkthrough of the Mary Charles Hospital in Molineux on Wednesday following the completion of some remedial work to address several longstanding issues. During the visit, the Prime Minister also visited the Pharmacy that was officially reopened to the general public on Tuesday, March 19. According to the information, the pharmacy operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 4 pm under the guidance of Pharmacist Bryann Tillette from Belize.

While sharing glimpses of his visit through his official Facebook account, PM Drew said that the Government is committed to improving the healthcare services for the community.

He also reiterated his vow to enhance the sector and said that the reopening of the pharmacy marks another step forward in that mission. "Your health and well-being are our top priorities," he added. He said that the Mary Charles Hospital is among the three hospitals in St Kitts and said that the Government has recently done a number of things to improve healthcare delivery to the people of this area. While citing other examples of enhancements, PM Drew said that the long standing issue with the toilets and leakage has been resolved. "We have also done some work on the grounds and we are looking at increasing the medical staff as well to make sure that we can improve on the services," he added. "I am very pleased with the significant positive changes that have been made to this hospital thus far and we will work continuously to make sure that we get to the accreditation which is better health care delivery for all of our people in St Kitts and Nevis," added the Prime Minister.

The continuous enhancement in healthcare showcases the Government's commitment to deliver the utmost services in the sector, which will enable citizens to avail these services right in the Federation.

Several people also took to Facebook to appreciate the Prime Minister for the continuous work his administration is doing.
