Michael Martin discusses St Kitts and Nevis CBI, calls it a privilege for investors

The Citizenship by Investment Programme of St Kitts and Nevis is continuously working to evolve the first and the finest programme as the best in the industry. The Head of the CIU Unit Michael Martin has always been at the forefront of innovation in this sector.
During a recent interview, Martin discussed the Federation’s CBI Programme and said, “We have one of the strongest economies in the Caribbean, with business policies designed to foster growth, a great quality of life, and all of which make a favourable base to set up a family or business.” He added that the recent changes to the programme align with the fact that it is truly a privilege to hold St Kitts and Nevis citizenship and the country aims to attract investors who understand and value that.Michael Martin also talked about maintaining the highest possible integrity, accountability and transparency of the programme and said that the Unit is working on it.
He also highlighted the introduction of mandatory interviews for the applicants and said that it is part of the due diligence process prior to the approval in principle. “We have also tightened the scope of eligibility of certain dependents who can be included in the application,” outlined the CIU Head.It is to be noted that the CIU Unit has also tightened the registration and licensing requirements for authorized agents and licensed promoters.
Not only this, but Martin also noted that the new regulations will designed to attract investors who want to engage and invest sustainably in the development of the country and of the people. He also said that the regulations will ensure that the investors can operate and feel confident that they are making a positive contribution to the country.All in all, the regulations will benefit both the investors and the country and it being seen as a win win situation. The already best programme is set to thrive under the leadership of Michal Martin.
CEO Martin along with the government of St Kitts and Nevis are always indulged in regular meetings to discuss and improve the overall CBI Programme.
