Michael Gunning makes to Forbes 30 under 30 list in Europe Sports and Games class of 2024
Michael Gunning has made his mark yet again by being into the prestigious list of Forbes 30 under 30 in the categories of Europe Sports and Games class of 2024. The swimmer has participated and made multiple records for both Great Britain and Jamaica, and now has transitioned into the field of Broadcasting media.

Former swimmer Michael Gunning, of Jamaican origin has made his mark in Forbes 30 under 30, 2024. He has been a participant in World Championship two times and has earned the spot in the list under the categories of Europe Sports and Games class of 2024.
On this outstanding achievement, Gunning expressed his enthusiasm, stating that he is speechless and he can’t believe that he has made into the 30 under 30 Forbes list under the Sports and Games class of 2024. The former athlete expressed his gratitude by thanking Forbes stating that he is really thankful for this honour. He added that sports have the capability of shifting lives and he is feeling overwhelmed, grateful and honoured to be a part of such a dignified list.Gunning started representing Jamaica in the game in 2016 following his participation in the sport for Great Britain as he was born in Great Britain. The successful young athlete took a retirement in the June of 2022.
Post Retirement Michael Gunning entered into the niche of Broadcasting media and made a successful and profit-making career out of it. According to the reports in Forbes he is now a media host, also a motivational speaker and a director at Dream Pursuit Media Limited.
He has also made appearances on shows broadcasted on ITV and BBC and has most recently appeared in a BBC Documentary “Tom Daley: Illegal to be Me and BBC Children in Need".
Gunning has set up his distinct mark in broadcasting industry as well as the sports industry and has been a man of impact, which became one of the factors of him securing his rightly deserved place in the list.
He has exemplary records in sports for both the nations Great Britain and Jamaica in the 200m Butterfly as stated in the similar report by Forbes. The report also read his impact by being only mixed-race swimmer in the UK and he also broke the social taboos by being the only openly accepted gay member in Caribbean National Team.He also launched distinct campaigns where he aimed to inspire and educate the minor communities as reported in a similar report from Forbes.
On his distinguished win he added that it was moments as these that make him realise how lucky he is and he does what he actually loves everyday and encouraged everyone who is fearful of the future that anything is possible with the right amount of determination.
He congratulated all his co-winners and called for the beginning of celebrations.
