Melissa Skerrit appluads Dominica's team of Netball series

While applauding the team of Dominica, Melissa Skerrit noted that the country has played like champions during the OECS/CEEB International Netball tournament; despite suffering from so many injuries.
She stated, "Dominica, you played like champions during the OECS/ECCB International Netball tournament! You were sorely tested with five ill players and unexpected injuries; however, you never gave up".
Melissa Skerrit outlined the spectacular journey of the team of Dominica and stated that it was a great learning experience for the players of the country as it provides an opportunity for them to grow further. The competition led them to move further and learn from every new experience, stated MP.
MP of Roseau Central Constituency underscored, "View this recent journey as a learning experience and an opportunity to grow. I must applaud your improved netball world ranking from 38 to 36. You have every reason to be proud".
She said that everyone must applaud the players for their improvement in the netball world, which has further brought the country's ranking at 36 from 38, which is really commendable.
Melissa Skerrit further extended her support to the team of the country and to the Dominica Netball Association and assured that the government would always be there to support the team and sports activities.
She said, "I pledge my continued support to the Dominica Netball Association. Be assured that I will work assiduously to attract more international attention to all our sporting areas in accordance with the sporting revolution and sports tourism thrust in Roseau Central".
The second OECS-ECCB International Netball Series in 2022 has been hosted by Dominica. The final of the tournament of the series was held on February 19, 2022, and the team of St Vincent and the Grenadines won the Gloria Ballantyne Trophy at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
ECCR's five members have competed with each other in the competition. The five participant countries were - Commonwealth of Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis and St Vincent and the Grenadines.Latest
