India to give more 350,000 Oxford Astra-Zeneca vaccines to the Caribbean
In a major relief drive, the Indian government has decided to provide another 350,000 vaccines to the Caribbean nations.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is now a world leader in providing the vaccine to countries worldwide. Recently, the Commonwealth of Dominica and Barbados received the delivery of a total of 170,00 vaccines from India on Tuesday. Prime Ministers also announced to initiate the historical campaigns to immunize its people against the global pandemic.
According to local media reports, PM Modi had announced earlier that India’s vaccine production capacities would be used to help all of humanity and said that over half a million doses of vaccines would be donated to the Caribbean.Despite the world being under an economical crisis due to COVID-19 lockdowns, India has sent a message of greater globalization as it has sent medical assistance worth US$2 million to the Caribbean countries, including all CARICOM members.
India has extended its full cooperation, and the vaccine doses would be dispatched shortly.
Apart from this, Dominica and Barbados governments displaying comradery's spirit, donated many vaccines to many Caribbean nations, including Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, Guyana, Grenada, and others.Oxford Astra-Zeneca vaccine is manufactured at the Serum Institute of India. During its trial periods, the Oxford vaccine did not record a single serious illness and no person who has been given the Astra-Zeneca vaccine was hospitalized till now.
