The government of St Kitts and Nevis on Wednesday declared to remove the quarantine mandate for fully vaccinated individuals.

St Kitts and Nevis: Vaccinated travellers no longer need to quarantine
The government of St Kitts and Nevis on Wednesday declared to remove the quarantine mandate for fully vaccinated individuals. As per the government all vaccinated travellers over 12-year-old can travel to the country with a negative PCR--test report taken 72-hours before arrival.

After the Omicron variant was discovered in South Africa, the government had recently re-imposed the restrictions. Fully vaccinated passengers are also not required to on arrival testing.

The authorities said as per the scieintifc information related to the Omicron variant these measures can be implemented with minimal risks.

Besides this, government also declared to remove barricading from Port Zante, allowing all to enter the premises and enjoy the cruise ship days. The barriers will be removed on Saturday, 11 December 2021.

The government of St Kitts and Nevis stated that the new decisions are based on science. Prime Minister Timothy Harris stated that the safety of citizens is the utmost responsibility of the government, he said the decisions are based on vast consultations with health and tourism authorities.

With the removal of restrictions, St Kitts and Nevis is expecting an increased business activity from around the world. PM said the decision will contribute to the country's economy and general well-being of its citizens.
