Thousands of cruise-ship passengers tour John Cupid Carnival Village
The John Cupid Carnival Village welcomed the scores of Cruise Ship visitors from the Royal Caribbean International and Jewel of the Seas

Trinidad and Tobago: The John Cupid Carnival Village warmly welcomed the scores of Cruise Ship visitors from the Royal Caribbean International and Jewel of the Seas on Tuesday. As per the information, these cruise passengers toured the Carnival village to attend and immerse themselves in the ongoing John Cupid Carnival and the exciting Trinibagonian Culture.
The Carnival is scheduled from January 19th to February 5th, 2023, under the theme,' Come Back Home'. The event is being held with a huge series of activities and events at the Queen's Park Savannah, Port of Spain.
Upon their arrival, the Cruise passengers were engaged in various activities. They were taught to play the steelpan and learned and explored the history of the national instrument and its role in the Carnival celebrations.

The John Cupid Village Carnival is integral to strategic efforts to promote Trinidad and Tobago culture worldwide. It also aimed at providing economic opportunities for local practitioners and small-scale entrepreneurs. The Carnival is hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts. Randall Mitchel, the Minister of Tourism, noted that the Carnival is a unique space to immerse visitors into the nation's richness and culture.
