Brantley announces set up of 3.8MW Wartsila generation at Prospect Power Plant in Nevis
Mark Brantley stated the government has officially commissioned the set up of the generation of Wartsilla at the Prospect Power Plant.

While considering it a historic day, Mark Brantley stated the government has officially commissioned the set up of the generation of Wartsilla at the Prospect Power Plant.
He stated that this power generation is taking the available power on Nevis to just under 16MW to support the electricity supply of the Federation.
Mark Brantley also affirmed that the project would ensure a more reliable supply of electricity to the people in the country.
He underscored that power generation would help the Nevis people with a reliable supply of electricity and will ensure the equitable supply to the various organizations of the country.
Besides this, Mark Brantley emphasized that it would improve the situation of electricity in the country.The Premier of Nevis also expressed gratitude to the Cabinet of the country for the significant investment of nearly $17 million and to the Board. He stated that around $17 million had been invested in the generation set out at the Power Plant to uplift the supply of electricity and the sector.
He reiterated," Huge thank you to Cabinet colleagues who supported this investment of nearly $17 million and to the Board, management and staff at NEVLEC".
Mark Brantley also highlighted the investment made by the Board, management, and staff at NEVLEC and Republic Bank to finance the project.
Further, Mark Brantly thanked Warstilla for their long partnership with the SKN government.
Most significantly, he expressed gratitude to the Republic Bank for supporting the critical project financially and investing substantially to make the project successful.
