A boxer from Antigua has emerged victorious in the light welterweight devision of Europe's Box Cup.
Alston Ryan beat Tom Tennant in a semi-final before punching past Tin Stance in the final in front of a lively crowd in Alexandra Park, London.
The Antiguan athlete won both bouts on points
Europe’s biggest box cup attracted hundreds of boxers from across the UK and further afraid for three days of action in the British capital.
According to the Antigua Observer, Ryan is on a quest to bring home Olympic gold for Antigua and Barbuda, and continues to impress coaching staff.
Local boxers are currently finalising their preparations for the Creole games, which will be held in St Lucia between 4-9 June.
