SKN offering highest amount of COVID-19 relief in the region, says PM Harris
St Kitts and Nevis is the only country in the Caribbean offering $1000 dollars monthly relief to citizens to deal with the crisis.

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis discussed the ground-reality of COVID-19 in the twin-island nation. As per Dr Timothy Harris, more than 205 people have been tested for the virus in the country, and twelve people are confirmed positive of the contagious disease.
Prime Minister Dr Harris also stated that St Kitts and Nevis is in a better condition than other Caribbean countries when it comes to COVID-19.
He also added that the nation is under a twenty-four-hour curfew because it is about saving the lives of the people from the virus which has killed hundreds of thousands worldwide.
"No country has been able to deal with this Coronavirus, nations worldwide are under lockdowns to save their people from this COVID-19," added Dr Harris.
Furthermore, he stated that under the $120 million economic stimulus package, a significant investment is made to the health sector. As per doctor harris, a new fleet of advanced technology ambulances is added to the health sector to handle any critical situation.
Also, now there are ventilators in each hospital of St Kitts and Nevis. "This is for the first time that each hospital in the country now has ventilators."
Besides this, he stated that employees of the hotel sector and manufacturing industry would also get benefits under the economic stimulus package and applications process will be started soon.
He emphasised that St Kitts and Nevis is the only country in the Caribbean offering $1000 dollars monthly relief to citizens to deal with the crisis, while Barbados is offering $600 and Saint Vincent and Grenadines offering $300 per month.
