Arima market closed as vendor displays flu-like symptoms

The Arima Market has been close down after a vendor started showing flu-like symptoms.
The Arima Borough Corporation on Sunday said immediate steps had been taken to quarantine the vendor and his produce.
The market place was eventually shut down on the order of the Corporation's Chief Executive Officer in session with the Municipal Police.
The Borough Corporation has confidence that the market can be sanitised with "immediate effect in the imminent days".
It added that each one steps are being taken to preserve the protection and health situations for the burgesses of Arima.
The Corporation said a subsequent notice might be furnished at the date of the market place reopening
