Antigua and Barbuda: A violent argument in Pigotts injured two men on Sunday. The altercations centered around a stolen marijuana which further turned out into shooting and a machete attack.
Considerably, the Parham Police is doing investigations to reach the depth of the case. As per the reports, the arguments started at around 7:30 am between two villagers from whom one is locally known as “Dollar Man” and the other Jef. Dollar Man allegedly accused Jef of stealing the marijuana plant.
The situation within a small time went out of control. And, Jef to defend himself, used a sharp blade object, Cutlass which resulted in serious injuries on Dollar man. In response to such an attack by Jef, Dollar man fired several shots. Out of all these shots, one got struck in Jeff’s Buttock.
Further, Jeff was taken to his house so he could get the treatment. An anonymous caller reported police of the incident on hearing loud explosions.
Notably, the police sealed off the area where the incident happened. And, the officials found one live round of 45 ammunition and four spent shells. As the argument started on stealing Marijuana plant, Jef accepted it and stated the reason that the Dollar Man refused to pay him for his previous work.
Jef further handed over the sharp object to the police that he used to defend himself, before going to the hospital. This object gave a deep skin wound to Dollar Man’s face. Not only this, the medical facility as well stated that there was a bone fracture in his right hand.
Such a condition of him took him to an emergency surgery and there were great hopes that he would recover. Also, Jef was discharged after the gunshot wound was cured. To reach to the depth of the case, the police is investigating.
