Airplane crashes in Jamaica

PC: Facebook
Jamaica: A small Airplane crashed in a section of Elim, Northeastern St Elizabeth, on Friday Night (January 5). After the incident, the wreckage of a two-engine airplane was found in an ongoing investigation by the local authorities. As per the information, the local authorities from the nearby region went to the location sometime after 7 PM on Friday and began investigating over the matter.  Meanwhile, after witnessing the spot, they reported that no person or any other items except the burnt remains of the plane were found in a swamp in the Elim River area. Since no further revelations were made, a Multi-agency or Preliminary investigation was also carried out by the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority and the Police, along with them. In the matter, they revealed the wrecked partial registration number on the aircraft YV, which is the aircraft registration prefix for Venezuela.  Further, the reports have also shown that the aircraft did not operate from any of the island’s airports. Also, it is noted that the area where the aircraft wreckages were found is a part of the upper Black River Morass. This was observed as a reputed landing site for small aircraft decades ago when the ganja export trade flourished. Also, the following morning (January 6), investigations after the tragic incident claimed that the bamboo with lights attached was also reportedly seen on either side of a road, used as a makeshift airstrip, which suspected that the found burnt-out aircraft might have been involved in any suspicious activity. Meanwhile, the tragic incident has left social media users shocked and completely wondering about the incident. Several community members were seen pouring out their deep grief and extending condolences, while the others were seen thankful as the investigation seemed a success. A user mentioned, "The good news is, the Airplane has an engine & chassis number. Let's hope those numbers were not tampered. Once engine and chassis numbers are intact, to kick start their investigations, the Police should track down the aircraft owner." While another mentioned, "Strange things are happening in Jamaica." Also, some users were seen wishing and urging for speedy investigations to be made into the matter. A user stated, "Something is not right at all. Please get to the bottom. Will await the outcome of the investigation."
