We come across to know about different health diseases day-to-day, but have to ever heard about a hair syndrome? Yes, this baby (1-year-old), residing in the United States of America, is diagnosed with a very rare hair syndrome, known as uncombable hair syndrome (UHS). The toddler's mother is raising awareness about this weird and infrequent ailment. The disease is a rare genetic condition, result to which the hair of a one-year-old is fragile and soft, having growth in all directions. Meanwhile, the toddler's mother said that his son's hair is "quite low maintenance", as she only washes his hair once a week, adding she only uses natural products to wash his hair. The mother decided to make aware people of this weird hair ailment, thus making a social media account on Instagram by the name of - uncombable_locks.  This hair condition makes the hair dry, frizzy and one is not able to comb the hair or style them.  Dr Rinky Kapoor, consultant dermatologist, cosmetic dermatologist and dermato-surgeon, The Esthetic Clinics, stated, "This is a rare genetic condition that affects children from the age of three months to 12 years".She then added, "The disease is categorised as a congenital and genetic disease caused because of mutation of three genes which are as - PAD13, TGM3, TCHH, which is responsible for providing hair protein, the condition only impacts the scalp hair and might cause some bald patches in some cases". The hair ailment further changes the colour of the hair to light, particularly - silver-coloured or blonde. The condition is commonly known as - "spun glass hair, Pili trianguli et canaliculi, and Cheveux incoiffables". As per the medical practitioner, there is no cure for the hair ailment yet. Dr Kapoor added, "The good news is that this usually goes away on its own as the child reaches adolescence or puberty".
