PM Roosevelt Skerrit congratulates the team of World Creole Music Festival

The World Creole Music Festival has started in Dominica. Prime Minister, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit congratulated the team for completion of 21 years of this mega event. The music festival attracts tourists and visitors from all around the world and is considered to be one of the finest of its kind of music event.
PM Skerrit referred to the festival as one of the biggest and best music festivals in the Caribbean Region. He also acknowledged the creativity and hard work of the team members working for the success of the music festival.
“It has reached a height, and I congratulate the team members for their hard work and confidence in making all the preparations from months ago.” added Skerrit.
As per statistics, this music festival helps in boosting the tourism sector of the country. Only last year more than 23,000 visitors from around the world and region made their presence to this World Creole Music Festival.
Festival which goes on for three days is part of Dominica’s music culture and defines the beauty of the creole music. It has become a music gala calendar and is organized in the evenings beginning on the final Friday in October each year.
Music artists from the Caribbean, French Antilles, Africa, and North America give their grand performances at the event.
All the six ferries that sailed to the island between last days are said to be full as visitors from neighboring Islands are making their way to the Nature Isle for the World Creole Music Festival.
The team organizing the event is also helping in managing the air tickets and hotel bookings of the visitors by making all the things available to them under one organization.
