World Creole Music Festival to host the Bouyon Boss

Asa Bantan – better known as the Bouyon Boss – will bring his lyrically powerful performances to the World Creole Music Festival next month.
The Dominica-born singer is aiming to get crowds dancing on the second night at Festival City, Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
Bantan, whose real name is Asa Edwards, is from Dominica’s cultural capital of Grand Bay.
He has amassed a huge following since breaking onto the music scene in Dominica and across the region almost a decade ago. Festivalgoers can expect another hardcore performance to include his many hits, such as Wet Fete, Strictly Local, I Know People/Last Name, Do Something Crazy, I Sing Di truth, Task Force, and Take It Anywhere.
The Bouyon Boss who has been travelling the world performing his unique brand of bouyon music will again lead the bouyon contingent at this year’s festival along with Triple Kay International.
The star is expected to perform a combination of old and new material during his slot on 28 October.
The 20th edition of Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival will take place on 27-29 October.
A line-up of top local, regional, and international acts covering a diverse range of creole music from the infectious bouyon to the sweet sensation of Soca and Calypso, Reggae, Afro-funk, Haitian Kompas to the vibrating sounds of Cadence-lypso and Zouk.
On this year’s exciting line-up are Machel Montano, Kalash, Mavado, Yemi Alade, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons, Sweet Micky, Kai, Etana, Romain Virgo, Klass, Marcé and Tumpak, Asa Bantan, Triple Kay International, Mizik à Nou All Stars, Breve, Swingin’ Stars, and the Zouk All Stars featuring Jean Marc Ferdinand, Orlane, Francky Vincent, and Stéphane Ravor.
