US & France Naval ships conducts joint operation in Caribbean sea.
The United States and French Naval conducted joint operations in the Caribbean Sea and practising a series of tactical shipboard movements called division tactics on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

As per the reports, the movement included precise turns and formations and leapfrogs of the ships at sea. In these formations, the ships are positioned in a straight line and take turns and overtake one another.

The prominent work of the units to test command and control capabilities further provides various opportunities to France and the United States Navies to improve interoperability and demonstrate their ability to communicate, navigate, and operate together at sea.

While highlighting the mission, Brian Forster, a commanding officer of Milwaukee, cited that in addition to the ships, Milwaukee flew their MH-60S assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22, Detachment 5, during the operation.

He emphasized, "Caribbean sea has a great opportunity and valuable training option to work with one of our allies NATO which aid the Caribbean in the upliftment of their skills".

Outlining the significance and benefits of the joint operation for the Caribbean sea, Foster underscored that with the help of NATO allies, there is a great chance to sharpen their crafts which would facilitate them to become a global force.

He also mentioned that the F.S. Germinal is a competent warship, which he could use to flow with in the future to conduct a wide array of missions.

Foster further highlights that it will boost the bilateral engagements and could create several opportunities for the partner nations and also build greater trust, understanding and respect for each other's unique capabilities.

Moreover, the operation would also improve the knowledge of the crew members and demonstrate shred tactics, allowing both navies to build capacity for future operations, maintain readiness at sea, and facilitate the various efforts to ensure security and stability.

As per the reports, Milwaukee is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area to support Joint Interagency Task Force South's mission. The mission also aids the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific parts to counter illicit drug trafficking in the sea.

U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command has operated various missions such as in cooperative maritime security operations, which employed maritime forces, which maintained regional security and promoted peace, stability and prosperity in the Caribbean.
