St Lucia: Armed robbery reported in Vieux Fort
Popular bar target of raid
A masked gunman robbed a popular bar in Vieux Fort last week, escaping with an undisclosed amount of money.
Otto’s Bar, on Clarke Street, is reported to have been robbed last Wednesday night.
The burglars struck at 10pm, according to St Lucia News Online. Five people in the bar were startled by the raid, the site reports.It is understood that the broke into the bar and demanded money while threatening with a firearm.
WIC News understands that the thief was caught on CCTV, although police in St Lucia have not released any images of the suspect and haven’t confirmed who they are looking for.St Lucia News Online describes the suspect as wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a white mask.
No arrests have been made so far.
