Trinidad and Tobago confirms 272 new cases of COVID-19

Trinidad and Tobago: The Caribbean country Trinidad & Tobago have confirmed 272 new cases of the coronavirus mutant on 21 July 2021. The Health Ministry of Trinidad & Tobago has given this COVID-19 update report on 21 July 2021 through social media handles. According to the report, there are 5,782 total active cases in the country rise to; in contrast, a total of 29,841 individuals have been recovered from the contagious coronavirus. In contrast, around 326 people are still in the hospital. The Health Ministry further informed in the note that a total of 1003 patients have died on the Caribbean island as of 21 July 2021. According to a total of 83 patients in the step-down facilities, around 124 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 5,101 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes during the coronavirus pandemic, as per the data revealed by the health ministry’s report of T&T. So far, as of 21 July 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 279,335 individuals have got their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 176,030 individuals have received their 2nd jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the novel COVID-19. If we look at the statistics of coronavirus testing, a total of 256,269 individuals have been tested for the deadly coronavirus, out of which 109,383 COVID-19 tests were conducted at private healthcare facilities. In contrast, 146,886 people were tested at the public healthcare facilities for the novel coronavirus. The Health Ministry further notified in their report that the samples of these new 272 COVID-19 positive cases were taken between 17 July to 20 July 2021. As per the report, since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 36,626 cases of the deadly virus.
