Tobago reports two murders in last 24 hours
Tobago recorded two murders consecutively within 24 hours on Thursday and Friday at Mt Gomery and Old Grange respectively.

The first incident in Mt Gomery took place around 11 AM on Thursday. After receiving the reports, the Tobago police reached the spot and recovered a decomposed body lying in a cemetery.
While another similar incident also came to light when Akinde Bissoon of Sou Sou Lands was found dead in Old Grange and not in a cemetery as previously reported.As per the reports obtained, this incident took place early in the morning on Friday at 8 AM. The man was found dead lying on the road.
However, the reports also claimed that when the body was found, the victim had some marks of violence on his body.
Meanwhile, the Police and the authorities have kept the information confidential and said it will be too early to disclose more information about the two incidents.
The two brutal incidents are suspected to be the first two homicides recorded previously of the year 2024.Public's Reaction
Considering the above incidents, Several people have expressed their concern over this severe condition of the nation, facing frequent and serious crimes and incidents. People said that the country's government can only tackle these conditions.
They also urged seriousness and responsibility among police officials and policymakers. They should sincerely work at the level of policies and legislation governing criminal activity in the nation.
As per some, these fatal incidents also affect businesses and are a roadblock in foreign exchange, trade, marketing, and other such activities to a long extent, resulting in the downfall of the country's economy.
Other users were also seen expressing their sorrow and grief in the incidents. "Really sad what Tobago is turning into," a user mentioned.
"Trinidad and Tobago know what to do. They will show them," another user cited.
