St Lucia: Suspected Castries drowning investigated
Body found on Friday morning
Police in St Lucia are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Castries Harbour last week.
Officers were called to the waterfront at about 6pm on 30 November after receiving reports that a man had jumped into the water and failed to resurface.
The victim has been named as John Gabriel King, 59 and of Ciceron, Castries.
Efforts to retrieve the body began but had to be called off due to poor visibility, according to the Royal St Lucia Police Force.
His body was revered the following day just before 8.30am.
“A post mortem examination is scheduled for a later date,” said a police statement.
“Investigations are ongoing in this matter.”
