St Kitts and Nevis has the lowest COVID-19 cases in the Caribbean

St Kitts and Nevis: As the world is struggling to grapple with the coronavirus and an increasing number of infection, St Kitts and Nevis- The smallest country in the western hemisphere is one of the few which have the least number of COVID-19 cases.

The recent statistics in Caribbean update by Mitsy Ellis-Simpsons and MJ & Associates revealed that St Kitts and Nevis recorded only 28 coronavirus cases so far and there has been no pandemic related deaths in the country .

The Caribbean update on coronavirus declared St Kitts and Nevis as the only country in the western hemisphere to have the lowest virus-related risk. At the same time, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic recorded a vast number of COVID-19 positives. St Kitts and Nevis had declared a state of emergency to lower the shadow of coronavirus on its people.

Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris and his entire administration have been asking people to follow all the health-related protocols continuously. The borders of the twin-island nation were reopened on 31 October 2020 following strict health guidelines designed for people arriving from different countries.

Unlike other Caribbean countries, the virus load have remained minimal on St Kitts and Nevis as all travellers are required to quarantine on arrival to the island.
