Saint Lucia: The wait for the National Storyboard Competition has finally ended as the Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and information extends an announcement for the same.
The National Storyboard Competition is for all storyboards to inform Design of Saint Lucia’s first UnderWater Sculpture Park Along the West Coast. The competition has been announced under the theme, “Culture, Heritage & History.”
“Get creative with your storyboard and win Big,” mentioned the tourism authority.
Considerably, the ministry has shared the deadline as June 26, 2024 till evening 4:30 pm to share the storyboards. And, the ministry has mentioned two aspects that are-
- Utilize one theme in three different stories for each of the three sites, or
- Utilize three different themes for three individual stories to inform storyboards for three sites.
The entries can be registered at the Office of Ministry of Tourism or through minitourismslu@govt.in or pssecreearymot@gmail.com
The competition is open to all the Saint Lucians from age 10 and the storyboards created by them are required to be unique and distinguished from any previous work done or entered into national competitions.
And, the prizes for each storyboard are as follows-
- 1st place – EC$10,500.00
- 2nd place – EC$3,500
- 3rd place – EC$2,000
Importantly, the Tourism Ministry through such initiatives marks its commitment towards fostering the development of the tourism sector of Small Nation Island, Saint Lucia. Such development projects towards the nation’s overall development.
Through this, the economic boost as well is expected which would surely give great contribution in transforming the country to a better place to live in. This states the government’s unwavering support and commitment towards taking the nation to the heights.
