Police in St Kitts and Nevis give update on weekend crime
Incidents range from drug possession to robbery

The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force have reported on a busy weekend of work across the federation.
Ackeem Connor, of St. Paul’s, was arrested, charged and cautioned for robbery.
Haynes Smith Village resident Bernel Francis was arrest for a number of driving offences, including driving and keeping for use an unlicensed vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance and driving without a rear licence plate.
He was granted bail in the sum of $5000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Friday, 6 July.
Another man, Adrian Hunt, was also bailed after he was arrested and charged with battery of police, resisting arrest and obstruction. He is due at Charlestown Magistrate Court on 30 May.
Drugs and abandoned buildings
At Charlestown Magistrate Court over the weekend, Tessa Howell of Cane Garden was convicted and fined $250 for parking in a prohibited zone.
Howell will be imprisoned for seven days if she fails to pay.
In Dieppe Bay, north St Kitts, a patrol of officers discovered, uprooted and seized 365 marijuana plants ranging from seedlings to plants as high as four feet.
Police are continuing to execute searches of abandoned properties. The most recent searches were done in St Johnston Village, looking for controlled drugs, firearms and ammunition.
