St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has made a gentle reminder to the general public to apply for the Children's Assistance Fund. This fund was established by the government in May 2022 and is for families who want to seek special financial assistance for their wards needing medical care abroad.
This Children's Assistance Fund is a practical initiative undertaken by the Government of St Kitts and Nevis to serve and facilitate the nation's children. PM Drew took to Facebook to remind people about applying for the fund and said, "Just a friendly reminder: If you know of any child who is in need of medical care abroad, as indicated by their doctor, please apply to the children's assistance fund." The Prime Minister aimed to help as many children in St Kitts and Nevis who are suffering because of health conditions. He also asked everyone to share the development so that the people who are still unaware of the fund can also know and take its benefit.
Through this project, the Government offers the parents and their guardians all the necessary special funding to get their wards treated well abroad with highly beneficial medications and treatments and well-accommodated, skilled staff members. In May 2022, the Prime Minister first announced the fund during a press conference. Since that period, he has been working diligently to serve and improve the lives of his communities. He has also constantly kept assured that no children in the community who are facing any vulnerability are left behind.
Meanwhile, upon this kind gesture of PM Drew reminding the people, several community members commended him and his administration for keeping the community children first and taking this initiative forward. Under his Facebook caption, a user named Rosa in the comment section mentioned, "Keep up the good work Dr. Drew. Prayers goes up, blessings come down for you. Amen" "Exact! My dream came true for the children of St Kitts; God continues to bless you, Dr Terrance Drew," another user mentioned, while a user named Shelly said, "This is really outstanding; bless you always. I know the struggle parents and family members go through when you are in this situation."Latest
