PM Chastanet thinks St Lucians are beggars: Ernest Hilarie

St Lucia: Dr. Ernest Hilaire, candidate for Castries south during his virtual public meeting on Sunday, claimed current prime minister of St Lucia and UWP leader Allen Chastanet ran the country like a business from which he made profit of 3 Fs, i.e. Friend, Family and Foreigners. Hilaire further added that Chastanet doesn't care about people, and he lives in luxurious comfort, so he can't understand the problems of the people facing the ground level. He emphasised that SLP continuously requested PM Chastanet to provide income support to St Lucia people during coronavirus time, but Chastnenet denied it.Remembering PM Chastanet words, Dr . Ernest said that PM thinks if he gives money and support to people, he believed " we will be making mannequins " out of them. Notably, he restated PM Allen thinks people of St Lucia are beggars. Ernest also alleged on current government that those who didn't vote for them in the last election, development in those areas halted, and the Chastanet government behaved partial behaviour. He also questions on UWP government on their policies regarding education, as they stopped the laptop programme, the outcome of that sin the term of a lot of struggle of students during COVID-19 time.He also asked PM Chastanet that why they still didn't eliminate the VAT policy."Allen Chastanet must go out from the position of the prime minister ", He added. He claimed that currently, St Lucia has an unfit prime minister, and the only fit prime minister of this country is Philip J. Pierre.Dr Ernest also blamed Chastanet for creating the wrong image of St Lucia, which is only shining on social media, and reality is far from it. Notably, St Lucia has their General elections on 26th July 2021, and people are so excited about it.
